[He was expecting Yua to answer the door, not for the sudden appearance of their enemy. Alphinaud's about ready to reach for his tome but the ascian's hand covers his mouth. It's quick as lightning and Alphinaud needs to assess the situation if he wanted to come out of this unscathed. Or worse, Yua being injured which may be a very real situation and he's about ready to scream again.
But this is strange: the immortal is not dressed in his Garlean robes, more for a restful respite...just what the hells was happening?
Nonetheless, he stares at Hades with wide eyes and simply nods. He'll do as told for now...just to ensure his friend is safe.]
[ Masking his irritation behind an unwavering look and unreadable expressin, the Ascian did not let go of the boy's face at first. He wanted to be certain that Alphinaud would keep his word. ]
Your hero is sleeping and will not be disturbed for some time. I will not tolerate you or the Exarch or anyone else for that matter waking her before she is ready to do so.
[ This was madness and he knew it. The great Emet-Selch had lost his reasoning in risking this reveal to the warrior's companions. But he had grown soft in these past few days, and that was something he was irritated with himself over. He was a fool for clinging to the past, to hope, but Hades dared not give up this chance to bring back something so precious to him. ]
She requires rest. Your lot seems to fail to realize just how much stress she has endured for all of your sakes-- stress that I have attempted to help ease. But unlike myself, she is mortal.
[ Mortal. Meaning sussceptable to the incoming Rejoining. The corner of his mouth twitched as he refrained from frowning. His steadfast gaze was still focused entirely on the boy.
As suddenly as he done before, the Ascian released Alphinaud, his hand dropping to his side. ]
And as such she needs time to recover and replenish her strengths. Your Warrior of Darkness will to be left alone in the meantime. Do I make myself clear?
Is Emet-Selch showing some kind of compassion for a mortal?
And yet the man is scolding Alphinaud like a child, belittling him as if Yua herself didn't know the risks involved with this task. She who has spoken without a moment of hesitation to help out and while he knows of her temper and her times where she could be stubborn...was Emet-Selch speaking the truth? It's when his hand is removed that the boy nods stiffly, keeping his face as neutral as he can at the moment.]
Perfectly clear.
[And then a few words had begun to hit him in the face as his cheeks grow a darker shade of red.]
Wait, do you mean to say-?!
[He is dressed in a robe and through the parts of skin, he sees marks and Yua is resting so that means...the blushing goes deeper as it covers his entire face and to the tips of his ears. The night when he heard Yua scream her lover's name...wait.]
Gods, you were here the other night, weren't you?!
An eyebrow rose at the accusation and for a moment he wondered how the boy could have heard her. The memory of the open window came to mind and it all fell into place. How Yua could have thought she would keep quiet that first night was beyond him.
A ghost of a smirk flickered, though if the boy blinked at that exact moment he would have missed it. ]
A woman of her strength and stamina has many needs.
[ He had no reason to lie to the boy. Hades knew he would pay for this whenever his warrior awakened, but it was a moment of entertainment he could not pass up. ]
[He sees that smirk for a split second and covers his own mouth this time, trying to hold in a gasp. Emet-Selch did not deny it and Alphinaud can feel a pit grow in his stomach.]
Then that means...Yua called for you that night. You're Hades!
[What the actual fuck?! And the poor boy does not realize how big the hole he is digging...and Yua is still sleeping peacefully, unaware. It's a little louder than he expected but Alphinaud is feeling too many awkward feelings.]
[ The Architect's eyes flickered, widening for a beat. His lips pursed as he felt his stomach twist. No. No, no, no. Not his name. How dare this fragmented creature show disrespect by speaking his name.
Without thinking he covered the elezen's mouth a second time, gripping his face, eyes narrowing. ]
Speak that name again and I will make sure those are the last words you ever say. Do I make myself clear?
[There's a moment of resistance as the boy can feel the anger come from the ascian. Normally he would try to gather his courage and try to talk it out but with this person, words seem to be the wrong weapon of choice. Nay, anything here can cause harm to Yua in some shape or form. He's still wondering how the woman fell to the dark one's sway, to open herself to him instead of her comrades in arms and yet...all Alphinaud can do is nod, his eyes wide due to the fear he is feeling.
'Yua...what have you done?' is all he can think of as Alphinaud tries his best not to pass out from it all.]
[ The last thing Hades needed was for an unconscious elezen dropping to the floor and the sound of his body falling waking up his lover. The seconds that followed felt long as his mind raced-- his temper cooling somewhat as the boy nodding in response. The Ascian was vaguely aware of how fond his warrior was of the twins and harming Alphinaud would accomplish nothing. His hand released the boy's face after a long pause and his expression lapsed back to revealing nothing. ]
Now go and do not return to this room under any circumstances.
[ Hades wasn't bothering to wait for a reply from Alphinaud as he already moved to start closing the door. ]
She will come out when is ready.
[ It wasn't until he had closed it roughly halfway did the hand that was hidden just out of sight of the elezen snap suddenly. It was quiet, not loud enough to awaken the viera, but certainly enough for his unwelcome company to note. ]
[That snap is unsettling to Alphinaud but only because he doesn't know what the ascian just did. As far as he's concerned, he's lost no limbs and is just grateful that he did not immediately kill him. He gulps and nods meekly again as the door shuts in front of him, leaving the boy to wonder many different questions and he doesn't know where to start answering them.
But there is one thing he can do: run and tell the Scions and the Exarch this and heed his warning to them all. He'll try and convince them not to go into Yua's suite until she is ready to come out but the woman herself has a lot of explaining to do. Like what exactly made her go running into his arms and open herself to him? What kind of spell did he weave to ensnare her into his trap and become intimate with him?
To him, he simply doesn't know. To Yua, it's a taste of freedom and truth that she's been unknowingly craving for so long. But for now, she will rest and dream of the city of spires of long ago.]
